WHAT DOES body positivity BOUDOIR MEAN?
To me, body positivity is all about being comfortable in and accepting of your own body while questioning how society objectifies and glamorizes women’s bodies.
Foxy Studio wants to photograph boudoirs for anyone and everybody interested in growing their self-love and self-acceptance journey. I have seen and felt the havoc that self-doubt and body hatred can wreak on self-esteem. I aim to help you, as an individual, and us, as a community, regain a bit of that body confidence and inner strength that we innately possess.
HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY Boudoir SESSION?
You do you and I'll take the photographs.
Preparing for your session is super easy. There is no need for last-minute dieting, drastic makeovers, etc. Once you book your date, I'll send you an info guide to help you create your perfect session.
WILL YOU POSE ME?
Yes, no experience is necessary. No one here is a model. My #1 priority is that you feel comfortable and confident. I’ll find the poses where you look the absolute best. I will guide you and make sure every photo is natural and sexy AF.
WILL I DO MY OWN HAIR AND MAKEUP FOR MY SESSION?
I can recommend artists in town who could help you out, or we do offer in-house make-up. Or you can do it yourself, or come au naturel. Much to my non-makeup-wearing chagrin, having hair and make-up done makes photos look really good. But I ALWAYS want you to be comfortable- so whatever works for you!
WHERE ARE THE boudoir sessions AND HOW LONG DO THEY TAKE?
Sessions are usually in my private boudoir studio on the east side of Madison, Wisconsin. Sessions can also be at your home. Or outside. Or really anywhere you want the session to be (ya know, within reason). Each shoot takes 2 hours. If you have professional hair and make-up done that will take around 1 hour too.
HOW FAR OUT SHOULD I BOOK FOR THE PICS TO BE READY AS A PRESENT?
About 4 months. Typically there is about a 2-month wait to get a boudoir session. The turnaround to get producst is about 6-8 weeks after your session.
HOW MUCH DOES A SESSION COST?
The session fee is $299 and includes:
2-hour boudoir session
3 outfit changes
Foxy Studio location
Professional editing
Private in-person photo reveal 3 weeks after your session
Products and digital images are sold separately. The average product investment is $699-$2000. Please email for more details. Session fee is non-refundable.
DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
Yes! I offer PRE-Payment plans. PRE-Payments are broken into monthly installment that is custom to your budget. All boudoir products must be paid for in full before receiving.

WHEN CAN I SEE MY IMAGES?
About 2-3 weeks after the photography session! We’ll schedule a private showing when we’ll do through your images and you can select your favorites and the products that you’d like to order. This is a really moving experience for both of us, a time to see the results of your labor- expect some excitement, elation, and maybe even some tears of joy.
HOW MANY OUTFITS SHOULD I BRING TO MY Boudoir Session?
Up to 3 and an optional nude or semi-nude! They don't have to be super sexy lingerie, either. I've taken plenty of photos where a woman is wearing some of her partner's clothes and others where she's wearing silly outfits just for fun. Props are welcome also.
CAN I BRING SOMEONE TO MY boudoir session?
Yes! It’s totally up to you! Some bring their lover, some bring a friend, some have even brought their sisters to help! Whatever makes you most comfortable is what you should do. That said, I'd guess that about 90% of my clients do come alone. Again, you do you.
THIS IS OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE- WHAT DO YOU DO TO HELP WITH THAT?
I bring a bottle of wine, champagne or beer so that can help! Soon we'll feel like two friends hanging out and making jokes. I promise I'm really easy to get along with. AND there will be music!
DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH COUPLES?
Heck yes! Couples are always welcome and it certainly adds an extra layer of sexiness to have photos taken with your significant other. This said, I do not photograph solo men.
I DON'T WANT MY IMAGES SHARED ON SOCIAL MEDIA, DO I HAVE TO?
You NEVER have to share your photos. Period. Photos you see on my site and on social media are only shared with the permission of the people in them.
DO I HAVE TO DO NUDES?
No, you don’t have to. The whole session is set to a pace that you are comfortable with. I think bare skin is the sexiest but will NEVER put any pressure on you!
